Accommodation

teacher

We recommend host family accommodation as it gives students the chance to immerse themselves fully in the English language.
Host family accommodation gives students the chance to not only live with an Irish family, but also the chance to practice your spoken English outside of the classroom.

Host families are carefully selected by the school. They welcome our students into their homes to share their meals and their daily lives.  We always ask our students to respect their hosts and enjoy the differences that exist between cultures.

Students can choose from Full or Half board or even self catering accommodation.
We charge a host family placement fee of €50 for this accommodation service. For couples and families we charge €80 as the placement fee. During July and August we charge an extra €20 for a single room as high season supplement.

The following are the accommodation rates:

Host Family                                                              €150 per week
This price includes a standard single room, simple breakfast and full evening meal with the host family.

Host Family with Private Shower                        €200 per week
This price includes a superior room, breakfast and evening meal.  Each room has a private shower and w.c.

Price for a double room for a couple                  €350 per week

Host Family self catering                                      €75 per week

This price includes a single room with all utilities, access to laundry facilities, full use of the house and kitchen. No meals are provided students must buy their own food and cook for themselves (and clean the kitchen after meals!).

Alternative Accommodation

The school can arrange self-catering houses, Bed & Breakfast houses, or hotel accommodation for a placement fee of €65.
LAHINCH, LISCANNOR, ENNISTYMON, COROFIN AND BALLYVAUGHAN
These centres have a wide range of accommodation including holidays cottages and bungalows, some in very nice locations at the coast. However, transport can be a problem and we recommend that students proposing to stay at these holiday centres should rent a car.
Students from Western European countries who are planning to come to the school in summer could consider contacting the Irish Tourist Board in their own country to get the names of tour operators who offer FLY DRIVE programmes to Ireland. There are very reasonably priced offers from some tour operators using holiday cottages and bungalows in the small towns listed above. In the past students, especially families and couples, who have used these operators to provide their accommodation, car and air tickets have been satisfied with the price they got
